Contacts and interviews parties. Using computer resources, conducts in-house investigations for child support enforcement, including collecting and verifying information. Miami County Job & Family Services-Account Clerk 1-Full Time                                                                                                                 Under general supervision, performs a variety of accounting transactions. Accounts Payable: prepares and monitors purchase orders and obligation sheets for County Auditor’s Office. Prepares invoices for payment; posts transactions. Accounts Receivable: process receipts and prepare pay-in documents. Enter and balance receipts and payables in Program Expenses Tracking System (PET). Reviews and processes child day care adjustments, tracks overpayment accounts and processes new hire alerts. Prepares various fiscal/financial reports and performs basic auditing and examining. Performs general clerical duties, eg. Typing, scanning, copy work, filing, open, sort and distribute mail. This is a fast paced, busy job which requires good computer skills and accuracy, ability to multi-task and to work independently, and work well with the public. Miami County Department of Development-Building & Electrical Inspector 1-Full Time                                                                      Performs assigned on-site inspections of building construction in progress (e.g., inspects foundations, crawl spaces, structures, insulation, and ventilation, etc.) Reviews assigned building plans for compliance to appropriate codes and standards; communicates with contractors, homeowners, architects, etc., regarding code standards and compliance, collects evidence to assist in prosecution of code violators; serves as liaison between department and fire prevention personnel. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Fiscal Officer-Full Time                                                                                                                                The fiscal officer prepares departmental bills for submission to auditor, obtains purchase orders, maintains all requisitions, maintains accounts payable and receivable, purchasing and budget.  Duties also include auditing and maintaining fiscal control, monitor and analyze departmental expenditures and encumbers funds.  Also operates as back-up officer for payroll processing and administers grant funds.  The fiscal officer reports directly to the sheriff’s administrative assistant. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services-Program Coordinator-Full Time                                                                            Will assume the roles of the Miami County Family and Children First Coordinator (MCFCFC) (20 hours more or less per week) and the National Alliance on Mental Illness Coordinator (NAMI) (20 hours more or less per week).  Duties for the MCFCFC Coordinator position include acts as the MCFCFC liaison with Ohio Family & Children First Council and Help Me Grow (HMG) state conference calls and provides the Council with a monthly written summary and updates. Duties for the NAMI Coordinator role includes assisting the local NAMI affiliates in scheduling, planning and implementing workshops, conferences and education programs.  Will serve as the liaison between the local affiliates and Ohio NAMI.
