On Monday, May 18, 2020, Miami County buildings will begin re-opening to the public. Due to the continued threat of COVID-19 and the need for safe health practices, the number of people permitted in the public search area of the Recorder’s Office will be limited.
Before coming to the Recorder’s Office, we ask that you call to make an appointment. Appointments may be made by calling 937-440-6040. At this time, 2 appointments will be available each hour, beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m.
A drop box for documents will be located at the Recorder’s Office front door. You will not need an appointment to drop off documents. Recorder’s Office “mail boxes” will not be used at this time. Documents will be mailed back to the submitter unless specific instructions are provided otherwise. Upon request, staff will place rejected documents and receipts for recorded documents in a marked basket outside the Recorder’s Office front door.

Please note that Miami County’s Geographical Index, Miscellaneous Index and Name Index are available through an internet based search tool. (Name index is available back to 1928).
Laredo Anywhere is now available. This app works in conjunction with a user’s Laredo account and can be accessed through any browser, including cell phones and tablets. Notice of Laredo Upgrade
An upgrade to Laredo is now available for existing Laredo account users. In order to access documents remotely after January 14, 2020, you must download the system upgrade. Please visit https://www.fidlar.com/Laredo.aspx. If you have difficulty downloading the program, please call Fidlar Technologies Customer Support at 800-747-4600.
**If you do not already have an existing Laredo account, please contact the Recorder’s Office at 937-440-6040 or firstname.lastname@example.org to establish a Laredo account. Recorder’s Office staff will assign a username and password and provide you with download instructions.
Veteran ID Cards
Veteran ID cards can be obtained through the Miami County Recorder’s Office. Veteran ID cards can be used to obtain discounts and benefits at participating retail establishments. The cost to obtain a card is $1.00.
Due to the closures of Miami County Buildings, Veteran ID card services are not available at this time.
