WELCOME

The Miami County Department of Job and Family Services proudly offers the following services such as: temporary cash assistance, supplemental nutritional assistance program, and Medicaid, subsidized child care, adult protection services, disability assistance and prevention, retention, and contingency services. The Child Support Division establishes paternity, enforces support orders, and collects and disburses child support in order to ensure children receive the financial and medical support they deserve.

We are consistently working to improve the lives of those we serve, by providing opportunities through coordinated services for the residents of Miami County.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to extend supportive services and resources which will provide for the essential needs of our customers. In partnership with public and private entities, we will initiate efforts to enhance the employment potential of all County residents and promote self-sufficiency for each individual. We will utilize a teamwork approach in achieving our goals, and in so doing will treat each other and those we serve with dignity and respect.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL – WIOA Youth Services

The Miami, Preble, and Shelby County sub-area of the Area 7 Workforce Development Board is seeking proposals for the delivery of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act youth programming in Miami, Preble, and Shelby Counties for the period of July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.  Request for Proposal documents are available from Amy Ahrens of the Shelby County Department of Job and Family Services and may be requested in writing or by phone at (937) 498-4981 ext. 2861.  A Conference for Prospective Bidders is scheduled on March 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Miami County Department of Job and Family Services at 2040 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Completed proposals must be submitted to OhioMeansJobs Preble County, Youth Proposals, ATTN: Lori Puckett, 1500 Park Avenue, Eaton, Ohio 45320 by 12:00 p.m. April 3, 2020 to be considered.
