Miami County Job and Family Services-Eligibility Supervisor I-Full Time
Direct supervision of Eligibility/Referral Specialist 1 & 2 Caseworkers and the Adult Protective Services program, including participation in hiring, promotion, discipline and termination of staff. Completes performance evaluations. Acts as the IEVS Coordinator and the PARIS Coordinator. Monitors the processing of public assistance cases, IEVS matches, healthcare applications and the Healthchek Program.  Ensures compliance with the IEVS and PARIS system, public assistance, food assistance and medical assistance programs. Assigns and reviews work of subordinate staff. Resolves employee questions, problems and complaints. Resolves client complaints. Assists in the development of agency policies and procedures. Miami County Engineer's Office-Highway/Bridge Worker I-Full Time
Under general direction, performs low skilled and semi-skilled tasks and operates light to medium equipment in the construction, repair and maintenance of roadways, bridges, drainage and safety systems. Includes but is not limited to: moving material and equipment utilizing light and medium duty trucks, snow and ice removal operations on public roadways, forming, placing and finishing of concrete, fabrication of reinforcing steel cages, patching of cracks and holes in roadway, landscaping activities, installing drainage pipes of various types and materials, guardrail installation, service and maintenance of equipment, traffic control activities, completing daily reports and logs, and dealing well with people in highly stressful situations. Miami County Department of Development-Director-Full Time

The Department of Development Director provides leadership and management of the Department. This includes the County’s programs for CDBG, CHIP, and HOME grants, Building Regulations, Planning and Zoning and Economic Development.  Organizes, attends and participates in various meetings. Plans, directs, implements, and supervises Miami County economic development programs as authorized by the Board of Commissioners.  Advises and supports the Board on economic development policy and procedure.  Researches and analyzes various records, reports, and other data to make recommendations regarding County economic and development activities and all aspects of the Developmental Department.  Promotes the economic welfare and improves the economic opportunities of Miami County residents. Retains and expands existing Miami County business and recruits new business to locate in Miami County.  Directs activities with staff, assigns and reviews work, evaluates job performance, recommends personnel actions, develops departmental policies and procedures, prepares annual budget projection and monitors departmental spending. Miami County Department of Development Electrical Inspector-Full Time
Under immediate supervision, performs assigned on-site inspections of residential and commercial/industrial building to ensure compliance with appropriate electrical codes and plans (e.g., gains access to work site, inspects wiring installation .and repair, drives to work site,   etc.). Reviews assigned building plans for compliance to appropriate codes and standards; communicates with contractors, homeowners, architects, etc., regarding code standards and compliance; collects evidence to assist in prosecution of code violators; serves as liaison between department and fire prevention personnel. Miami County Sheriff's Office-Corrections Officer-Full Time
Corrections officers are responsible for overseeing individuals who have been arrested and are awaiting trial or who have been sentenced to serve time in jail. In Miami County the Sheriff’s Office operates two jail facilities and staff both with corrections officers. The first is a 43 bed facility located in downtown Troy and is considered maximum security, holding our highest risk inmates. The second jail is located in CR 25a north of Troy and is a 240 bed facility holding less serious male offenders and females. Corrections Officers rotate between both locations. Duties include: Periodic patrols and checks; monitoring inmate living quarters; screening visitors; inmate counts and other duties as required.
