The Miami County Treasurer's major responsibility is the collection of taxes. The two most noted and largest are real property and personal property taxes. The Treasurer also collects mobile home, inheritance, vendors and cigarette license fees.

The Treasurer receives all monies collected by various other county departments and keeps a record of the deposits. Daily financial statements of the deposits are prepared and submitted to the County Auditor.

The Treasurer invests undisbursed funds for various periods of time, earning money for the county's general operating fund.


Collection Due Dates



Real Estate Tax:
1st half due February 14th
2nd half due July 20th



Mobile Home Tax:
1st half due March 1st
2nd half due July 31st



Personal Property Tax:
1st half due April 30th
2nd half due September 20th


Payments are accepted using cash, personal checks, money orders, and cashier's checks.
